What is the School Council?
A school council is a group of pupils elected to represent their classmates and help make decisions about school life. It gives children a voice and can provide a meaningful way in which pupils can voice their opinions and have their views considered in decisions that impact upon them. It also promotes teamwork and responsibility
Everyone gets a chance to speak at the regular school council meetings, and the best ideas are voted on and a plan of action is agreed upon.
Who are the School Councillors?
Each year we run an election campaign to vote for two new representatives from each class.
Each council member will have the opportunity to speak at the council meetings about things that their class is interested in or suggestions that other pupils have mentioned to them. They will then inform their class about what has been discussed at the council meetings and minutes from the meetings will be put on display.
This year our School Councillors are;
Class 5 – Spencer (Chairperson) & Luna Class 6 – Riley & Kaycie
Class 3 – Porsha & Leaum Class 4 – Poppy (Treasurer) & Tommy
Class 9 – Kyle & Holly Class 10 – Grayson & Taylor
Class 11– Chloe & Amber Class 7 – Bradley (Vice Chair) & Jude (Secretary)
