Today was "World Book Day" (Thursday 5th March). Inglewood Junior School participated in a "snuggle up with a good book" day! Children were encouraged to come to school in cosy clothes for the day and were then entered into a 'Reading Raffle".

Also throughout the day there was a "Big Book Swap" where children were able to bring up to 3 books in from home to exchange them for different books! A pop-up books shop wa available to exchange your World Book Day book vouchers for books. Reading dens were designed by all the pupils and after a whole week of clues the big reveal of the "Secret Whole School Reading Book" finally happened and we all read the same book! We loved "The Journey" a picture book by Aaron Becker. We ended the day with a Reading themed singing assembly and the raffle of prize winners! Big thanks to Miss Irving for all her hard work in planning another successful World Book Day!
